This live preparatory course spans a dynamic 12-week period, with live sessions this course provides comprehensive coverage of essential concepts. It’s crucial to emphasize that this course is not designed to instruct on IPAC basics. Instead, it focuses on offering preparation strategies, case studies, practice tests, and live discussion groups. These elements are carefully curated to guide learners in developing their personalized study plans, ensuring an interactive and engaging learning experience.
IPAC Consulting will provide theoretical training delivered through our e-learning platform. The learners will complete the learning modules at their own pace. The modules are broken into 15–20-minute sections to allow the learner to integrate the education into their busy workday.

Managing Infection Control in the Long Term Care setting is a careful balance between facilitating resident quality of living and safety. IPAC Fundamentals for LTC is an in-depth course geared toward the novice IPAC Lead. The course is broken down into 10-20 minute modules to allow segmented, self-paced learning.
This program provides technical and practical hands-on support to the IPAC Lead in your Long-Term Care or Congregate Setting. Our IPAC experts will provide expertise and work collaboratively with you team to ensure the highest quality service and implementation of infection control best practises.
One of our Certified IPAC Consultants will provide monthly on-site training to teach, guide and support your IPAC Lead regarding the important elements of your IPAC program. Topics covered include; Surveillance, Auditing, Education and Outbreak Management Principles, etc.

Gold Package – Two, 8-hour visits each month for 6 months (total of 12 visits) with unlimited on-call support via phone or email.
Silver Package – One, 8-hour visit each month for 6 months (total of 6 visits) with 4-months of unlimited on-call support via phone or email.
Bronze Package – One, 8-hour visit each month for 2 months (total of 2 visits) with 4-hours on-call support via phone or email.
These online learning modules, written specifically for social services staff, will satisfy infection control requirements and provide education, especially for the social services environment and support for infection control workflows. The Ministry of Health requires annual, formalized infection prevention and control (IPAC) training for all clinical staff, with an evaluation component and documentation of training received. In addition, all new hires must also have formalized, evaluated training in infection control principles. Our education modules will allow you to meet these requirements.
The participant has the flexibility to complete the content at their own pace, at home or in the office. At the end of every module, an assessment quiz evaluates the participant’s learning, and an 80% pass rate allows the learner to proceed to the next module. Each module runs approximately 20 minutes in length before starting the quiz.
At the end of the course, the successful learner receives a certificate of completion as a record of annual training completion.
