Executive Team

Natalie J. Goertz | RN, BScN, CIC Principal

Natalie Goertz holds a BScN (UWO, London, Ontario) and is a registered nurse.  She is currently completing a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology.  Natalie is certified through the Certification Board of Infection Control and has experience in all levels of health care including a large tertiary health care centre, a large community hospital as well as public health.  She has managed an Infection Prevention and Control department in acute care.  Natalie has served as co-chair of the IPAC-Canada Surveillance and Epidemiology Interest Group and as President for the IPAC-Canada Southwestern Ontario Chapter.  She has extensive knowledge of program development and evaluation for Infection Control Programs, Environmental Services, and Reprocessing Departments and has successfully led these groups through the Accreditation process.  Natalie has experience in conducting, participating, and evaluating research on infection control practices and has presented research findings at national and international conferences including IPAC-Canada, APIC, and SHEA.

Stefan David | BSc Eng, P.Eng. Director of Strategic Development

Stefan David graduated from Guelph University with a degree in Systems and Computing Engineering. He is a professional engineer with experience in mechanical and electrical designations. Stefan has a keen interest in business development and has spent 8 years’ experience managing Toshiba’s Canadian operations. He is well versed in all project phases, including green field development, contract negotiations and project delivery. Stefan has completed the CSA Designing for the Future Z8000 – Canadian Health Care Facilities and Effective Implementation and Practical Application of Infection Control During Construction, Renovation and Maintenance courses. He is a key member of IPAC Consulting’s leadership team through strategic business development and guiding future direction.

Jen Weston Director of Business and Administrative Operations

Jen has proven herself to be an extremely effective leader at IPAC Consulting. Jen leads our customer service and client satisfaction team. They strive to provide our clients with customized solutions and continuously improving our service delivery.

Jen has 16 years of knowledge and experience in business administration, accounting, and management. Jen has been an instrumental player in process improvement initiatives within these roles. Jen plays a key role in the management and development of business operations at IPAC Consulting.

Jen leads our education and graphic design teams with subject matter expertise from our consultants.

Jen is certified in Joint Health and Safety and contributes to the development of both internal and client-specific Health and Safety initiatives.

STEPHANIE FLETCHER | CPA, CMA Finance and Accounting

Stephanie has been involved in IPAC Consulting since its inception and is actively involved in business development and project management. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with an honours degree in Financial Management and went on to obtain her Certified Management Accountant designation. Stephanie has always had a love for business and has a background in public accounting. With her education and experience, Stephanie contributes financial and operational expertise in the development and implementation of IPAC Consulting’s business practices.

Management Team

Youhanna Salib | HBSc, MLA Manager of Healthcare Services

Youhanna is a diligent Microbiologist with demonstrated success in Infection Prevention and Control.
Agile and responsive to dynamic client needs, he is client-oriented with knowledge in basic epidemiological methods & statistics, infectious diseases, surveillance, policy development, outbreak management, and adult teaching principles.

Youhanna holds a BSc from the University of Guelph, in addition to multiple certificates in Infection Prevention & Control, and Medical Laboratory services.

Victoria Jerome | BScH, OCD, a-IPC Covid Testing Manager

Victoria’s passion for infection prevention and control began during her time at Conestoga College, where she earned an Ontario College Diploma with distinction, through her successful completion of the Biotechnology Technician program. Since then, she continued her studies at the University of Guelph, with an Honours Degree in Biological Sciences and a Certificate in Food Science. Her education has provided her with wide-ranging scientific knowledge, allowing her to excel in implementing infection control principles and food safety management systems. She has completed her Associate of Infection Prevention and  Control certification and is currently working towards obtaining her CIC designation.

Victoria’s areas of expertise include Dentistry, Social Services, and Hospitality Services. Victoria also provides qualified fit testing to our clients. Vikki’s expertise extends to Infection Control in Healthcare Construction and Renovation. She is well versed in various design standards including the CSA Infection Control During Construction and Renovation (Z317.13-12) and Canadian Healthcare Facilities (Z8000).

Portia Schuurmans | BScH, OCAD, a-IPC Managing Consultant

Portia completed her Honours BSc in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Wilfrid Laurier University, and after working for a couple of years, she returned to school to study Advanced Biotechnology at Durham College and earned an Ontario College Advanced Diploma. She is currently earning a Master’s degree in Infectious Disease at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in London, England, has completed her Associate of Infection Prevention and  Control certification, and is working towards obtaining her CIC designation.  Both of these are continuing to expand her knowledge of effective infection control and the ways the principles can be applied to practical measures.

Having always had an interest in the science of healthcare, and with previous roles related to safety and quality control, Portia brings experience in leadership, education, and continuous improvement. Portia’s expertise pertains to Dentistry and Oral surgery, and she is a qualified fit tester. She also has experience in health care construction and renovation with knowledge in various design standards including the CSA Infection Control During Construction and Renovation (Z317.13-12) and Canadian Healthcare Facilities (Z8000).

Infection Control and Health & Safety Consultants

Our team of Infection Control and Health & Safety Practitioners have experience in large tertiary centres, public health and community based hospitals.  Our experience ranges infection control and occupational health program planning, front line policy development and implementation, outbreak management to planning and executing complex construction and facility relocation.  We understand the importance of engaging key stake holders to successfully implement changes.  We are successful because not only do we have experience in consulting but we have experience in “doing”.  We have worked closely will various front line and allied health staff to know that our recommendations do not only mitigate risk but are practical solutions to for those who are expected to carry them out.

Michael Stockall | OCD IPAC Infection Control Consultant

Michael’s involvement in the world of infection control began at Conestoga College, where he earned an Ontario College Certificate by completing their Pre-Health Sciences program; this was followed by the completion of Conestoga’s Biotechnology Technician program, where he earned an Ontario College Diploma with distinction. Since then, Michael has continued his education at the University of Guelph, with an Honours Degree in Microbiology, minoring in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Michael’s education has provided him with a thorough background in the nature of infectious diseases and how we can best mitigate their spread through various professional sectors. Michael works with clients in Hospitality Services, Social Services, and Dentistry to audit and assess their infection control practices, as well as develop new policies, or update current ones in order to adhere to the latest public health guidelines.

Christy Cook | HSM IPAC Infection Control Consultant

Christy has worked in the healthcare sector for more than 15 years, the bulk being in Long Term Care, holding positions from the front line to leadership; she holds several diplomas in Health and Health Services Management Certificate. Having led various quality improvement projects, providing the opportunity for growth within an organization is a personal passion.

For the past few years, Christy has taught in two post-graduate programs, Retirement Residence Management and Health Administration Management leading her to pursue her Master of Educational Leadership.

Danielle Bignell | BPH IPAC Infection Control Consultant

Danielle’s interests in infection control began during her time at Brock University while studying Public Health and working within the community.
Danielle has since graduated with an Honours BPH and a Mental Health First Aid certification, wishing to further her education in the future.

Danielle is grateful to be apart of the IPAC Consulting team and looks forward to supporting different communities assisting each client in creating a safe environment that envisions the best infection control practices for staff and clients.

SHANNON AHONG | BSC, R.KIN, CSEPCEP Occupational Health and Safety Consultant

Shannon completed her Honours BSc in Human Kinetics minoring in Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences from the University of Guelph.  She gained experience in providing health and safety programs including ergonomic and risk assessments, through the completion of a Graduate Certificate in Exercise Science for Health and Performance from Niagara College.  Shannon obtained a Certificate of Achievement in Occupational Health and Safety from Humber College, in order to assist companies in meeting regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and to minimize the high costs associated with accidents, injuries and environmental compliance. 


Shannon has always had an interest in ensuring the health and safety of others and is passionate about providing education pertaining to health and safety.  She strives to create a safe and healthy work environment and is focused on the welfare of those in the workplace. In doing so, Shannon contributes to fostering a safe work environment for the benefit of both the employees and the employer. 

Kait Cooper | BASc, R.KIN Occupational Health and Safety Consultant

Kait graduated from Brock University with a Bachelors of Applied Health Sciences and completed a post-graduate certificate in Exercise Science from Humber College. Kait is a registered Kinesiologist and is working towards completing her Occupational Health and Safety certificate. Kait worked for Ontario Fire Administration Inc before joining IPAC.

Seema Sharma | MBBS, MPH, CIH Occupational Health and Safety Consultant

Seema Sharma holds a Master’s degree in Public Health specializing in Occupational and Environmental Health from the University of Toronto and is a trained physician from India. She has experience working in healthcare health and safety for more than 15 years. Having a background and practiced occupational medicine gives her an edge in identifying the root cause of any injury and illness, hence devising practical prevention strategies for any workplace. An in-depth understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements helps her to lead workplaces through all stages of any approval or accreditation process. She is a member of Workplace Health Without Borders and has presented at the Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario. She is well versed in developing workplace violence, chemical safety, PPE program for private and public organizations. She has cleared her preliminary examinations for Registered Occupational Hygienist and is working towards her certification for Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Registered Safety Professional.

Sophia Shannon Graphic Designer

Art and design aren’t just a job, it’s a way of life. Creating things since she was little, her passion turned into her full-time job. Graduate from Conestoga College for the Design Foundations and Graphic Design program.

She is always working with an open mind and welcomes any feedback or suggestions to improve and enhance her skills with a smile. Her love for design and drive to present things promptly and correctly make her good at what she does.

Bassam is a Web developer and IT Specialist with BSc degrees in software engineering at the Applied Science University of Jordan.

He has 8 years of experience in Web development and IT environment.

Courtney Strickler Executive Assistant

Courtney started her career within the Not-for-Profit Sector, working with vulnerable individuals. With that Courtney overseen 40 volunteers, networked within the County of Oxford, along with other agencies.
All while ensuring the day-to-day operations ran smoothly.

Courtney learned very quickly in her time with IPAC how important and passionate she is about infection control, she looks forward to ensuring our clients’ programs run smoothly and effectively.

Melissa Gaudet Project Administrative Officer

TASHA KAUK Client Coordinator

Tasha graduated from Conestoga College with a Diploma in Radio Broadcasting, after multiple years in the broadcast industry she took her knowledge and skills of marketing and sales and decided to explore other industries. Tasha started with IPAC Consulting in August 2020, as the Client Coordinator managing our client bookings, new clients, invoicing, essentially anything required to make the office function smoothly.
She is currently assisting in the coordination of our production projects, including scheduling, maintaining records, as well as liaison between IPAC & the client.

Amy VanMassenHoven Administrative Support

Amy graduated from Everest College as a Personal Support Worker. Amy has eight years of experience in Long Term Care including outbreak management and management of nosocomial infections such as C.diff, MRSA, VRE, and respiratory illness. She then moved into acute care where she trained and practiced as an environmental services worker. Amy has four years of experience in cleaning, disinfection, and outbreak protocol management in a hospital setting.

Chad Tiffin App Development

Chad Tiffin is an accomplished web developer, and also a pilot. He has designed the IPAC Consulting audit app from the ground up. The app allows IPAC Consulting experts to maximize client time, standardize audits, and provide clients with the best possible reporting to help them get to Compliance quickly and efficiently.
