Making Workplaces More Accessible in Ontario
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) was enacted in 2005 to create a fully accessible Ontario by 2025. Alongside the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), workplaces have a responsibility to identify, remove, and prevent barriers for people with disabilities. This course is designed for both workers and supervisors, providing essential knowledge on AODA requirements, workplace accessibility obligations, and how to identify and address barriers effectively.
This 30-minute e-learning course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the AODA and IASR. Learners will explore the various types of accessibility barriers individuals with disabilities face and the roles and responsibilities of both employees and employers in meeting accessibility standards. By the end of the course, participants will be able to recognize, remove, and prevent accessibility challenges within their workplace.
At the conclusion of the course, learners will complete an assessment quiz, requiring a passing score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate of completion.
