Accident Investigation
An accident is a sudden, unplanned event that results in—or has the potential to result in—harm to people, property, or the environment. These incidents can occur in any workplace, at any time. Failing to properly investigate an accident and identify its root cause can lead to repeated incidents and unnecessary costs.
Conducting a thorough investigation allows organizations to evaluate the effectiveness of their health and safety program, uncover hazards that may have been missed during routine inspections, analyze actual events, and identify trends that could signal broader issues.
