The Dental Administrative Staff Health & Safety Training helps administrative and support staff understand their responsibilities under Alberta’s Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulation, and Code. This course covers common workplace hazards, including ergonomic strain, chemical exposure, workplace violence, and emergency preparedness, ensuring a safer work environment for all team members.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify their roles and responsibilities in workplace health and safety
- Recognize common office and administrative hazards and apply control measures
- Understand fire safety, emergency procedures, and workplace violence prevention
- Implement infection prevention practices relevant to non-clinical staff
- Follow reporting procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace
This 4-hour self-paced course can be completed at work or from home. After finishing the training, participants will take an assessment quiz, and those who achieve a passing score of 80% will receive a certificate of completion.
