    A certified IPAC Consultant will apply the complex infection control standards to the operation of your cosmetic surgery clinic by auditing policies and procedures, education and training, record-keeping, and physical attributes of your cosmetic surgery clinic, including your sterilization center.     The bronze level subscription program provides an assessment of your established infection control program, and provides the groundwork for future improvements. It includes a General Home Assessment, generic policies, a 1 hour follow up phone consultation, and update to changes of practice. This provides an overview of where you stand, and offers direction for improvements at your practice.

  • Infection Control Risk Assessment

    The infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) should be conducted before the design begins, prior to construction and again when the projected is commissioned. The ICRA should inform:

    • Building design features
    • Location of segregated treatments areas and requirements for negatively pressured spaces
    • Air handling and ventilation needs
    • Water systems and requirements to decrease or prevent water-bourne pathogens
    • Locations for soiled areas, clean utility and storage areas
    • Requirements for sterilization and reprocessing areas
    • Locations of known hazards
    • Continuous monitoring of infection prevention and control measures
    • Emergency requirements (eye wash stations, decontamination shower, etc)

  • Infection Control in New Healthcare Construction and Renovation

    During the construction phase, our consultants work with the construction team to ensure appropriate Infection Coantrol measures are in place. Onsite inspections should occur regularly to address issues that may arise which include but are not limited too:

    • Water damage
    • Proper storage of materials to prevent mould and moisture
    • Protection of the HVAC system during construction

    Cross contamination can pose significant infection risk to patients and is the central focus of Public Health inspections. An IPAC Consultant will examine the plans for your reprocessing areas and identify changes to the physical layout of the Sterilization Centre in order to be compliant with Public Health requirements. Upon completion, you will know what you need to incorporate into your plans or existing sterilization centre to be able to provide a space to safely and effectively reprocess instruments.

  • Practice Audit for Outpatient Surgical Centres

    Practice Audits are the most important step for ensuring compliance. While the General Office Assessment and the Sterilization Centre Assessment are the groundwork for knowledge and reprocessing area set-up, the actions of staff demonstrate an application of infection control principles and is a main component of a Public Health inspection. An IPAC Consultant will evaluate staff actions anonymously before, during, and after patient care, with a special focus on tasks such as hand-washing, using personal protective equipment appropriately, and proper cleaning and handling of equipment. Upon completion, you will understand any gaps through our in-depth written report.
